L1. – Oh, what a wonderful tree. It fell down! What a pity! But I can sit down here and have a rest.
(садится отдохнуть, дерево шевелится)
L1- What! It moves! Is it a tree or an animal? A whale! Poor whale! I’ll help you! I’ll call my friends!
(Дерево поднимает голову)
Gul.- Where am I? Help!
(Лилипут отскакивает, визжит, убегает, затем крадется обратно)
L.- Who are you? Can whales speak?
G – I am not a whale. I am a human. My name is Gulliver. Tell me, where am I?
L.- This is the Kingdom of Lilliputians! (I am going mad- I speak with a mountain. Or with a whale. Or with a tree. Oh, me!)
G.- Please, dear Lilliputian, bring me water. I am so thirsty!
L. You’d better speak to our King.
G.- But where is he?
L. –Listen, he is coming!
(звучит марш, выкатывают короля с королевой, идут солдаты, все видят Гулливера и в ужасе закрывают глаза,)
King- He is our enemy! Kill him! ( солдаты пуляют из трубочек, бросают мячи, Гулливер от всего отмахиваются, все устали, свалились без сил)
King: Are you our enemy?
Gul.- Certainly not, Your Majesty!
King: But who are you?
Gul.: I am Gulliver, a doctor from Great Britain. At you service, sir.
King: At my service? Then you are our friend! Listen to me! This Mountain man is our friend. Bring him water to drink.
Gul. : And something to eat, your Majesty!
King: And something to eat!
(суета, несут подносы с едой, сливают воду в большую емкость, карабкаются и кормят его)
King: My dear friend! Do you promise to be my friend?
Gul. –Yes, sir!
King: Then you must sign this document. Where is it? Bring me the document! Read it, I’ve forgotten my glasses.
Lil.2- Document: I, Gulliver- the Mountain man, promise to be the King’s friend forever.
I promise: not to leave the Kingdom, not to put Lilliputians into my pockets and to destroy the enemy’s fleet.
Gul.: What are you speaking about?
King: You must help me! We’ve got an enemy- The kingdom of Blefusku. They want to make war with us. And their fleet is very strong.
Gul. : It’s not a problem! I’ll be back soon!
(Уходит и тащит за собой много кораблей на веревочке, все смотрят в его сторону, королю приносят бинокль)
Gul.- Here is all the fleet of Blefusku, your Majesty!
King: Victory! We’ve won the war! My friend Gulliver is now Commander in Chief of our Lilliputian army! And we’ll have a party! Sing and dance everyone!
(все поют и танцуют)
